TVXQ is everything
A/N - [livejournal.com profile] o0yani0o  posted a bunch of quotes and UFO replies in her journal and I was reading them and...this just...popped out of me.

They are high on something, Jaejoong is sure of it. Hairspray residue clinging to the inside of their lungs, the stick of makeup and sweat on their faces as they hug fiercely, the screams of the crowd ringing in their ears. He is too happy to do anything but cling to the bodies screeching in excitement and he doesn’t care.

They are there. All five of them. And they aren’t going anywhere. Ever.

He loves them more than anything in the world. Loves Xiah, U-know, Micky, and Max with every single breath he takes. Loves their faces and their voices, their weaknesses and their strengths and wants nothing more than for all of them to be happy. He thinks that when he marries, it will be to a woman who has a little piece of each of the members. Junsu’s laugh and Yunho’s hands, Changmin’s brain and Yoochun’s tears. He always wants to be beside them and he knows that, in some way, he always will.

There is something about the five of them. Something about the way they stand together, the way they sing together, the way they breathe together that is special. That is unforgettable.

“We’re going somewhere,” is the first thing Changmin thinks when he sees a picture of the five of them ambling down a road, away from the camera. We’re going somewhere. Somewhere good. Somewhere beautiful. Somewhere happy.

Changmin wants to be there. Wants to be there with all of them. Just the five of them. Only the five of them. Always the five of them. He doesn’t want anything else, doesn’t need anything else. Just this. Yunho’s smiles and Jaejoong’s food, Junsu’s jokes and Yoochun’s music. There is nothing else for him and he doesn’t want there to be.

Not ever.

Yoochun thinks he’s never been so lucky. He hates America, hates what it did to his family, but he thinks that if he had never suffered there, he would not have had his triumphs. And that’s what life is about, he’s sure of it; triumphing over your sorrows and rising above everything that has been difficult.

For him, Dong Bang Shin Ki is everything. They were together when he was happiest, together when he was his angriest; they are together when he cries, together when he laughs. What more could he ask for? What more could he possibly want? He can’t imagine anything being worth more than this. No amount of money, no amount of friends, no amount of pleasure greater than the bond woven between the five of them.

He worked hard in the past, he is working hard now, and he resolves to work hard in the future. Because as Jaejoong clings to him and Junsu whispers in his ear, as Changmin eats off his plate and Yunho slings an arm around his shoulder, he thinks it’s all worth it.

He knows it is.

Yunho insists that everything is theirs. “There is no yours or mine,” he tells them, “it’s ours. Everything is ours.” And it is. Everything is theirs for the taking. Fame. Fortune. Glory. The world spread out at their fingertips. Yunho has no one he’d rather take it with than his four brothers.

They are family, knit so tight you can’t really tell where one ends and another begins. He is proud of them. So very, very, proud of them. Proud of Jaejoong’s voice and Junsu’s dance, proud of Changmin’s Japanese and Yoochun’s lyrics, proud of every single breath they take and every single tear they cry.

He promises them forever. Singing together forever. Breathing together forever. Loving together forever. When they are old and grey, when no one loves them anymore, when they are married with kids, no matter what, they are always five. Because that’s the only time that they are TVXQ.

That is the only time it’s worth being TVXQ.

Junsu doesn’t know anything but TVXQ. TVXQ made him, shaped him, formed him into a man that made his parents proud. He had been born for the stage. Born to sing, born to laugh, born to be with the four other members.

He lives for them, he would die for them, they are the reason he exists. He can’t imagine his life any other way. Can’t imagine living without Jaejoong’s arms around him or Yoochun’s head on his shoulder, without Yunho’s words to guide him or Changmin’s attitude to cut him down to size. There’s nothing else there, in his heart, where TVXQ resides.

Nothing will ever change that.

Cassiopeia holds them all in her heart. There’s more than enough room among school and work and family. It takes nothing to tuck little pieces of happiness into her heart, treasured smiles and words to hold onto when life gets hard.

“I’ll love them forever,” she declares, and she does. She protects them, and cheers them, and supports them because she can. “You are mine,” she teases, and they laugh. “We are yours,” they say, and it’s the greatest love affair of all.

I really only want you to be happy, she thinks, and they are.

No matter what they do, no matter what they become, they shine. They love. They live. And she smiles in the background, because she knew they could do it.

All five of them.

Forever.

This was so hard to write. As much as I expected all of this drama, it still hurts like a bitch. But now that I have written out some of my emotions, I feel better. I hope that reading it will make you feel better too. Also: Relevant song is relevant. Especially if you replace "I" with "We" ♥
